The Confession

Hope was wandering down with her head down at her thumbs. Her thoughts of the black zbornak still remain deep within her. She sighs. “Should I tell him? What will he think?” Without noticing, the white nomad feels a strong force preventing her from going further. When she looks up, her face puffs with pure red.
It’s Amazing the Zbornak, who notices her and flinches, blushing. “H-Hope! Why are you here?! And, why are you blushing?”
“I was going to ask you the same thing,” Hope says.
Amazing sighs. “I wanted to tell you something.”
Hope turns away with her hand on her face. “If it’s about another adventure, then it has to wait. I’m not feeling up to it.”
“No,” Amazing continues. “It’s not.” Hope faces him with curiosity. “I wanted to let something off my chest. Are you okay with that?”
“Go on.” The nomad waits while he gathers his thoughts.
Amazing takes a deep breath and begins to let out his sentence. “Hope, I… I…” He takes another breath. “I wanted to tell you that… I have…”
“Well?” Hope asks. “Spit it out. What is it already?” Without any more words, the zbornak jolts forward and presses his lips against hers. Hope’s eyes widen, but embraces as she feels his warm breath inside as well as the inside of his mouth. He pulls away with his cheeks all red. Hope stares at him with hers red as well. “A-A-Amazing?”
“I wanted to say that I love you,” Amazing says. “But, I’m not sure if that’s okay with you.”
“Of course it is!” She smiles. Amazing lightens up with shock. “I’ve always pushed my feelings back for the same reasons.”
Amazing stares into her eyes. “You mean, you-” She nods without him saying more. “So, would you like to… go out on… a date?”
Hope smiles more. “That would be great.”
